Our Editor, Paul Sciria, was born and raised on Cleveland's East side. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio State University, he spent seventeen years as both a television and radio reporter. Paul worked with Channel 3 WKYC Cleveland as well as radio stations KYW, WJW and WERE where he co-hosted the popular senior audience radio show, "Off Your Rocker." In addition to serving as the Editor of La Gazzetta Italiana since its inception, Sciria has owned and operated a Cleveland-based public relations and advertising agency for the past twenty years.

As a descendent of proud Italian ancestry, Paul remains dedicated to his Italian heritage and culture. He has traveled to Italy three times with stops in the Sicilian towns where both his father and grandparents spent most of their lives. Back home, Sciria remains actively involved in the Italian-American community through his participation in numerous clubs and organizations. He continues to reside on Cleveland 's East side.

 

Angela Spitalieri is our Operations Manager and is responsible for all subscriptions and renewals, advertiser billing, and mailing. Angie started with PAS Publishing in June 2003. After graduating from John Carroll University in 1999 with a degree in Industrial Psychology, Angie returned to her alma mater and worked as the Director of Young Alumni for four years.

Angie was raised in a Sicilian household that practiced the glorious "old world" traditions and customs. She takes pride in her roots and continues to revel in her Italian heritage.

 

  

Clelia "Lia" Serpico is our Production Assistant and is responsible for content generation, editing material and laying out the paper. Lia started with PAS publishing in October 2004. After attending The Art Institute of Pittsburgh where she earned a degree in graphic design, Lia spent three years working as a proofreader for Matthews International Corporation in Pittsburgh.

Lia and her two younger sisters were born and raised in a close-knit Italian family where heritage and traditions are of the utmost importance. Her parents own Serpico's Italian Eatery in downtown Akron.
