There’s no place like home, especially in the heart of Cleveland’s Little Italy neighborhood. And what better place for the Northern Ohio Italian American Foundation (NOIA) to establish its new, permanent headquarters, now open at 12018 Mayfield Road?
This past December, the NOIA executive staff moved in while work on the interior design progressed. In addition to office space, the facility will house meeting rooms and a spacious area for events and entertainment. Other amenities will include a coffee bar and a member lounge with windowfront views of the bustling Mayfield pedestrian and vehicle traffic. The interior design is inspired by NOIA members' local Italian American culture and is intended to create a family atmosphere.
Most recently, this past August, the NOIA exterior building sign was installed, giving the venue its first visible sign of progress to the community at large. “Our long-time goal of having a presence on Mayfield is now in plain sight,” said NOIA Executive Director Angela Spitalieri Ianiro.
A philanthropic organization that supports the vitality of the Little Italy community, NOIA’s move onto Mayfield Road is a sign of its continued commitment to their mission of preserving Italian American heritage and values.
Spitalieri Ianiro added, “As thrilled as we are about our new home, the future of NOIA and all the wonderful memories in store for members in this place is what really gets us excited.” NOIA members are invited to visit, and those considering membership are encouraged to stop by to learn more about the benefits of joining.
