The 21st Annual Dean Martin Festival is already in the planning stage for next June 15 - 17 in his hometown, Steubenville, OH. Born Dino Crocetti on June 7, 1917, Martin sold more records than fellow Rat Packer and Chairman of the Board, “Old Blue Eyes,” Frank Sinatra. He also hosted a long-running TV variety roast series.
“We are already embarked on finding sponsors for this very special ‘Birthday Party’ and we plan to reinstate the Dean Martin Parade,” said festival co-organizer, Rose Angelica. “We are hopeful that the U.S. Postal Service will issue a stamp commemorating Martin’s career in time for the festival,” added Angelica.
Over the years, the Martin Festival has donated over $100,000 to local charities and established a Martin Music Scholarship for high school students.
