Executive Chef Zach Ladner of Beachwood’s Giovanni Ristorante brings to the recently opened Smokin’ Q’s Restaurant in Mayfield Village his unique Texas-style barbeque spare ribs, brisket and pulled pork with a Mexican influence. A Texas native, Ladner searched out the best barbeque sauces paired with a Mexican influence to deliver his unique preparations to customers at the former Fisher Tavern landmark.
Proprietor Carl Quagliata recently opened the 2,500 square feet property with Gene Menchen, a long-time St. Petersburg Florida restaurant manager who now resides in Solon, as the general manager. Menchen oversees not only the 19 tables inside, but also the 10-12 outside patio tables and the 50 seats nearby an outdoor fireplace and large television. Summertime will provide a spectacular outdoor umbrella panorama.
Inside, the rustic interior décor boasts a 12-seat bar that features 16 beers on tap. Multiple Ohio beers produced by several Cleveland area breweries are served.
