I particularly love Tuscany. It is, without a doubt, one of the most romantic and picturesque regions of our beloved land. I most certainly love it for the same reasons as those who pass through it and those who live there: the serenity of the green countryside that surrounds stunning medieval villages and the smell of damp soil in the early morning when everyone is still asleep. In the mornings, one experiences the scent of freshly baked croissants and bread at the bakery, the bartenders wishing “buongiorno” as if they are serenading passersby, the fresh and relaxing air, and the slow passing of time. Church bells announce it’s almost lunchtime at noon teasing the taste of sausages and beef, Tuscan cheeses and wines and local dishes. The romance that embraces you at 360 degrees on a walk in the idyllic San Gimignano from early morning to sunset where the “dolce far niente” (sweet doing nothing) of the early summer is a must. Here, life is sweet and time, for a short while, stops.

Amo particolarmente la Toscana, senza dubbio, una delle regione più romantiche e  pittoresche della nostra amata terra….
La amo sicuramente per gli stessi  motivi di tutti coloro che la attraversano e la vivono…..
La serenità della campagna verde che circonda mozzafiato borghi medievali ….
Il profumo della terra bagnata di prima mattina quando ancora dormono tutti….
I suoni della mattina appena cominciata:  l’odore dei cornetti e del pane appena sfornato al panificio, i baristi che danno il “buongiorno” come in una serenata, l’aria fresca e distensiva, la lentezza del passar del tempo, le campane che a mezzogiorno annunciano quasi l’ora di  pranzo…..
Ma anche la bontà dei salumi, delle carni toscane, dei suoi formaggi e vini, dei suoi piatti tipici….
La conferma che in queste terre  si è realmente svolta una storia diversa dalla contemporanea, ne abbiamo prova reale, tangibile….
Il romanticismo che avvolge a 360 gradi …… qui in una passeggiata nell’idilliaca San Gimignano dalle prime ore della mattina al tramonto….qui dove “il dolce far niente” all’inizio di questa stagione estiva e’ must, dove la vita è veramente dolce, e il tempo – per qualche istante – si ferma davvero…
