Roslyn tested with Ancestry.com and was surprised to see that she inherited a "french connection" from her German/Croatian mother. Her Southern Italy DNA mostly came from her father whose Molise family lines she can trace back to the early 1700s. She received a small portion of her Italian DNA from her mother's side as the Italian DNA encompasses part of present-day Croatia.

This is an 1852 Italian death record of Roslyn’s 3rd great-grandmother, Rosalba DiPinto. The record lists the names of Rosalba’s deceased parents, Maria Antenucci and Donatantonio DiPinto. Additionally, from this record Roslyn was able to determine that Rosalba’s husband, Nicola Torella, had died before her. This one record helped Roslyn add details about her 3rd great-grandmother in her family tree and add another set of 4th great-grandparents. Another interesting detail is that Sabatino Torella, Roslyn’s 2nd great-grandfather and Rosalba’s son, was a witness.
