On Sept. 15-17, 2017, the Collinwood High School Alumni Assocation (CHSAA) will host their fourth Grand Reunion. Grand Reunions bring together graduates and friends of all graduating classes from CHS, a perfect back drop for reconnecting with old friends while making new ones. The last Grand Reunion of 2014 had 660 attendees ranging from the classes of 1933 through 2011. According to Michael F. Cavotta, President of CHSAA, “we have conducted an aggressive marketing campaign and indications thus far point to more than 700 attendees.” This multi-day occasion hosts several events including Hall of Fame Formal Inductions.

Founded in 1944 with the primary mission of “Connecting Railroaders Everywhere,” it now has over 1,000 members and is growing. Community-based initiatives have included the digital restoration of the grand CHS murals which grace 440 feet of walls on the first floor of the school.
