A 4.4-magnitude earthquake hit Perugia in Italy's central Umbria region on March 9 causing little damage but leaving residents shaken. The earthquake hit at 4:05 p.m. local time and reached a magnitude of 4.4, according to the National Institute of Geophysics and Vulcanology’s Twitter account. Residents rushed into the streets after the quake was felt, Luca Carizia, the mayor of Umbertide, told Italian news agency Ansa. At press time, no injuries were reported.
Un terremoto si è verificato a Perugia, in Umbria, nel centro Italia, il 9 marzo intorno alle 16:00. Fortunatamente non ci sono stati molti danni ma i residenti hanno avvertito le scosse. Secondo l'Istituto nazionale di geofisica e vulcanologia, il terremoto ha avuto una magnitudo di 4,4 sulla scala Richter. Il sindaco Luca Carizia ha dichiarato all'Ansa che i residenti sono corsi in strada dopo le scosse di assestamento. Finora nessuno è rimasto ferito.
