U.S. billionaire Dan Friedkin has signed a deal worth 591 million euros to take over Serie A side Roma. At press time, the deal should go through by the end of August. This is Friedkin’s first significant investment in a sport; he has business interests in the car, entertainment and hospitality industries. He will take Roma from a group of U.S.-based investors led by businessman James Pallota who bought the club in 2012.
