At press time, most Italian schools were scheduled to reopen on Sept. 14 and singing will be banned. Government health advisors stated that singing increases the risk of coronavirus transmission and will not be allowed in schools. Italian virologist Andrea Crisanti backed the government’s ruling telling a local TV station “It’s better to avoid singing in the classroom.” He also cited a recent study which found that “if there is one positive case in a choir, they can infect 50.” Face masks are set to be mandatory for all children over the age of six when in school except for gym class, eating in canteens and answering a teacher.

Da quando fu scritto quest’articolo, le scuole italiane hanno dovuto riaprire il 14 settembre. Le scuole devono annullare i programmi di musica. I consulenti della salute per il governo hanno detto che l’atto di cantare aumenta la trasmissione del virus Corona. Andrea Crisanti, un virologo, ha commentato che se una scuola non vieta di cantare, una persona infetta del virus può trasmetterlo a cinquanta persone nel coro. Le mascherine sono obbligatorie nelle scuole per gli studenti che hanno più di 5 anni. Ma, gli studenti possono andare senza quando fanno  ginnastica, mangiano, e comunicano con i prof.
