The 77th edition of the Venice Film Festival was the first major international film event to take place since the coronavirus pandemic began. Running from Sept. 2 through Sept. 12, visitors to the oldest film festival in the world were required to wear masks in screening rooms as well as throughout the enclosed festival site which included outdoor seating areas, cafes and restaurants. Other strict virus-prevention measures were in place including accredited delegates’ movements inside festival buildings being tracked with scanned passes in case of an outbreak. With almost twice the usual number of screenings to accommodate smaller groups and two new outdoor screening spaces, the festival offered guests a safe environment to enjoy the historical event. 

Il 77o Festival dei Film di Venezia e stato il primo evento accaduto da quando la pandemia è iniziata. Il Festival è iniziato il 2 settembre ed è finito il 12 settembre. I partecipanti hanno dovuto mettere le mascherine dentro il teatro ed anche nelle aree per sedersi, nei bar, e nei ristoranti. Giacché c’è il virus Corona, c’erano regole severe durante il festival. Per avere meno spettatori in ogni teatro, c’erano più proiezioni dei film ed anche posti fuori per guardare i film. Quindi il festival ha offerto un ambiente sicuro per gli spettatori che sono venuti a quest’evento storico.
