Catheryn Alaimo’s culinary career began at a very young age as she received countertop lessons from her family members, earning her place as one of the youngest female cooks of a large restaurant group in northeast Ohio. During those early lessons from family members of Sicilian and Molise heritage (paternal, Palermo and Campobasso) and Sant’ Agata (maternal), she proudly earned the title of Chef Cat.
Pursuing her passions of advancing in the restaurant and hospitality industry, Cat’s studies led her to Chicago to attend Robert Morris University. From working fine dining cuisine to managing a farm kitchen, Chef Cat had the honor and privilege to work alongside some of Chicago’s best chefs.
Desiring to bring home the “bacon” to her hometown of Cleveland, Chef Cat worked with family and friends to open a successful wine bar leading as executive chef. There she developed a palate for pairing artisanal foods to wine and beverage for specialty menus. The next step in her odyssey led her to a position as corporate chef at the headquarters of a lighting innovation company. Here, she was in charge of all house business gatherings, café services and private dining for the CEO.
For well over a decade of professional culinary experience, Chef Cat dreamt of leading a company that allowed her to share her gusto for exceptional food that lasted beyond a one meal experience. It was then she became an entrepreneur in her hometown and established her own personal chef and catering business called A 2 Z Living Well Solutions Ltd.
A 2 Z continues to grow community-wide by incorporating the best elements and engaging with clients interactively. She does this by using nutritional menu options, utilizing local farms and professionally cleaning kitchen and dining spaces in order to guide clients and their families to live a more health conscious lifestyle. By these means, Chef Cat cultivates meaningful business relations and shares her passion – one bite at a time!
