Cleveland’s Little Italy is a vibrant eastside neighborhood near University Circle. This neighborhood, with the main roads of Mayfield and Murray Hill, began to form in the late 1800s when Italian immigrants, mainly from the South, settled here in search of work and a better life. They brought with them a rich heritage, delicious cuisine, cultural traditions, and a strong work ethic. And they built this community. Despite the modern changes, Little Italy has retained its distinct character and continues to preserve Italian traditions.
