One of the best qualities about being Italian is the importance of family that is instilled from a young age. Spending time with family is always special, fun and full of food. There is also something magical about enjoying time with family during the holidays. Time sitting around the table laughing, eating, sometimes even crying while reminiscing about family members who are looking down from Heaven, is so much of the Holiday family time. It is a time when everyone is together: no school, limited work, students home from college, everyone is together. Throughout the year, this is not something that happens on such a frequent basis, so the charming time of the holiday season is really a time to relish in the large family.

These days, it’s even more important to really immerse ourselves in the family fun, enjoy every moment and make memories. The world is changing, we never know what is going to happen. It’s a sad reality and something we certainly don’t want to think of during this enchanted season, but it is true. So, we must spend that quality time together. Let’s slow down and put our phones away and laugh a little more, share a little more and make a few more memories. For there’s no greater time than a big family feast full of cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and more.
