Dear Readers,
A reader and contributing writer is asking for your help in identifying a man in these photographs. The photo on the top is a Broggini – Malnati wedding from June 1908.
The Broggini were famous stonecutter businessmen, prior to Joseph Carabelli taking over the business. The Broggini family carved the statues on top of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Little Italy in Cleveland.
The man pictured in the far right of the wedding photo is also in a photograph that our reader, Kathy Nano Bolanowski, has of her family, the Monti family. You can see him sitting on the left in the photo on the bottom. Kathy can identify some of the people in the Monti Family photo as noted.
Maria Monti is Kathy’s grandmother, and it is likely that other people in this photograph are members of the Carabelli family. We have noted the identity or possible identity of some.
Can you help identify this “mystery man?” If you recognize anyone in these photographs, please email Kathy at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
