More than 10,000 people were evacuated from central Turin in early December as experts worked to diffuse a WWII bomb. The British bomb, dropped on the city during the war, contained 140 pounds of dynamite. A detonator on the tail end of the device needed deactivated. The device was discovered on a construction site the month before. The operation was completed quickly and residents were able to return home the same day. 

All’inizio di dicembre oltre 10.000 abitanti sono stati evacuati dal centro di Torino mentre una squadra di artificieri disinnescava una bomba inglese contenente oltre 70 chilogrammi di dinamite e risalente all’epoca della seconda guerra mondiale. Il dispositivo era stato scoperto in un cantiere il mese precedente. L’operazione è stata completata rapidamente e i residenti sono stati in grado di tornare a casa il giorno stesso.
