As reported by Eurovision.tv, Italy’s Måneskin came out on top in what was one of the most hotly contested Eurovision Song Contests ever. Switzerland won the jury vote in which Italy came fourth, but the 4-piece Italian rock band won the public vote by a landslide, scoring a total of 529 points and leaving Switzerland in third place behind France. Måneskin is a critically acclaimed band featuring vocalist Damiano, bassist Victoria, guitarist Thomas, and Ethan on drums. They took their band name from the Danish word for ‘moonlight,’ as a tribute to their bassist Victoria’s home country. The first major global cultural event to be held in person since the coronavirus pandemic hit last year ended in a triumph for Italy’s Maneskin, who won with their hard-rocking song called “Zitti E Buoni.” The song was cheered to victory by over 3,500 Dutch fans at the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Con i voti della giuria, invece, la Svizzera era avanti, ma con questi voti pubblici, Måneskin sono riusciti a vincere il concorso. Måneskin hanno vinto con la canzone “Zitti E Buoni”. C’erano più di 3.500 tifosi danesi all’Arena Ahoy nei Paesi Bassi che hanno celebrato la loro vittoria. La band è formata dal cantante Damiano; la bassista Victoria; il chitarrista Thomas ed il batterista Ethan.
